The Covert Case for iPhone is a unibody aluminum design that is snap fitted to the phone. Extremely light and comfortable to hold in your hands. This case is incredibly sleek, resembling an exoskeleton for an iPhone. It’s not overly bulky, but it’s reinforced with titanium steel to safeguard it against drops. Trust me, I’ve dropped it quite a few times, and it’s held up remarkably well.
It was a supreme pain the butt to get on my phone, but now that it’s on, I like it. Without the dango MagSafe wallet it’s pretty minimal. Also pretty slippery to hold without the wallet attached, so the hand strap might be advisable if you’re using it bareback in a sketchy environment.
Word of caution - not all MagSafe adapters are shaped the same, especially third party non-Apple ones. I have some bulletpoint solutions mags-style inductive chargers in one of my vehicles and it fits ok. I have a peak designs in my other truck, which due its shape and location when clipped to the phone requires some carefully placement due to part of the case metal just below the cameras.
Also, due to the thickness of the back, if the your desktop charger is inductive, and not completely within the back space of the case against the phone, you’ll need a MagSafe version which does.
In either case of car or desk, If you use the Apple MagSafe stuff (round white one) it should be just fine. Neither points are a ding on Dango, but due to this design, MagSafe compliant matters.
I love the look of the phone case. However I work where reception can be poor and it decreased my reception by probably 75%. Loved the case but won’t be able to use it due to the reception issue.
Exactly as pictured. Incredibly light. Easy on and off. It’s just not my thing I found myself having to learn how to hold onto my phone all over again cause it’s so slick. I will say it took a fall on a corner and my phone was completely fine. However with the sides completely exposed with this case I could see a disaster in my sights. All and all super simple design and cool to look at but it’s not gonna save your phone in the end.
I found it hard to place on phone. Uncomfortable to hold, and the holder holes are placed wrong. I was hoping for better, but the final design is a failure.

I have several Dango products. I bought this case for my 16 pro max but the mag safe wallet isn’t made for the pro max. I wish they made a wallet for the pro max. Also the case could use some de-burring.
I love the idea and it’s almost exactly what I want but again like the other products there are several missing machine operations. I’m not taking a photo because it’s somewhat difficult to install. Bottom then top. But watch the corners are not pinched after install. The back panel has no chamfer. It’s a 90deg edge and wasn’t de burred. Uncomfortable to hold without a wallet. I almost popped it on the milling machine but no real way to hold it. I ended up running a deburing tool over it which removes the anodizing , glad I didn’t buy it in black. The anodizing is better quality than the Carabiner, is suspect it’s made in china. The tether points are why I got the case. The button placement makes it hard, but being next to the lens means the sling obscures one of them. They could be smaller. You could almost fit 550 paracord. A little scalloping by the buttons would be nice, especially the camera. I’m on my second screen protector in 2 weeks. Caused by the clip on the sling, also no longer black. I forgot to take it off and shoved it in my pocket. It looks cool though and I appreciate the outside of the box thinking. I suspect the lower heat will improve battery life. I got everything on sale and a voucher but at full price I would of returned most things. Dango would be better off designing and testing with a specific screen protector in mind. Then sell that screen protector. I’ve yet to find one.
The case is high-quality, but does not offer a lot of protection from a facedown drop… Very nice but a little fragile for my clumsiness… I will be returning and ordering the adapt case with bumpers all the way around. Customer service for return was amazing and responded to an email within minutes.
Love the build quality but would prefer to have the tabs (lanyard holes) on top and bottom because having them on the sides is not conducive to my car and bicycle phone holder. Also, holding the phone with a sling attached feels awkward. It forces the hand too high up the body of the phone. If the tabs were on top of the case, this would not be an issue.
Very sharp edges. I knew when I was putting the case on the phone that I would be sending it back. I then ordered the Adapt case and it has the same issues of ridiculously sharp edges. I love Dango wallets, but they should stick to making wallets.
Great looking case. Beautifully compliments Desert Titanium color. Durable, light weight, and precisely machined. I like the fact the back is open not just for looks but heat dissipation. Mag-safe wallet fits perfectly with space around it. A little tricky getting it on but once you figure out the technique, it works like a charm. You put the bottom in first, Then push with both thumbs at the upper corners and it slides right in with a snug fit. Best case I’ve had to date
Absolutely fantastic phone case. Minimal, but offers great protection. Highly recommend this case to someone looking to protect their phone while still having a minimalist case.
This case is beautiful and protects the phone. The biggest issue I have with it, is that in very weak cell phone service areas, it will block out the signal.
Got a bumper because I never drop my phone and was sick of a big case. After about a week I drop it off a patio seven feet on the concrete and hear a smash with the new bumper on it. There was a loud crack and I was 100% sure it was going to be destroyed.
Not only was the phone absolutely fine, there wasn’t even a mark on this thing. Loving it.
Here’s an honest review: I’ve been using this phone case for about a month and a half now on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and from a cool factor point of view, it gets an A+. The machined one-piece aluminum case is fairly lightweight, stylish, and modern—I don’t think anything else on the market comes close to this design in terms of cool factor, and I’ve looked at a ton of cases. That said, there are a few minor quirks I’ve run into. It took me a while to get used to the limited protection on the front edges, since the bumpers only cover the four corners. The identical cutouts on the top and bottom also made it tricky at first to tell which way was up when pulling it out of my sling. And with the machined side edges, it can be a bit hard to press the side buttons, though that gets easier over time. I also got the leather MagSafe wallet, which I highly recommend—without it, the back of your phone is exposed and unprotected. Overall, it’s a well-designed case that stands out from everything else out there.
